Matthew Yglesias is a senior correspondent at and co-founder of Vox.com where he is also the host of The Weeds podcast.

Formerly he was an economics and business writer for Slate where he wrote the Moneybox column, and before that he was a fellow at the Center for American Progress, a blogger for The Atlantic, and a writing fellow for The American Prospect.

His first book, Heads in the Sand, was about the politics of foreign policy and his second book The Rent is Too Damn High was about the origins of the contemporary urban housing crisis. 

He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and son.
